The girl looked at you and your sparkling blue gown in disbelief. Here, standing in front of her, was a real, live Elsa!
“Do the magic, do the magic!” she cried, just like the young Anna in the movie.
You scrunched your hands and then let a burst of magic into the air. Again, as in the movie, the magic burst mid-air and showered all of the people in line (about six families behind the one you where currently greeting, you counted) with real snow.
You’d gotten your powers when you were a freshman in high school, to only top off the other torture in the form of acne, teasing, and an inability to fit in anywhere. You couldn
Prologue
James held his little daughter, who could only be distinguished from her twin brother by the reddish wisp of hair on the top of her head, and bounced her around, murmuring quiet words to her. He started up the stairs, and was just about halfway when there was a bang on the door.
Nearly falling back down the stairs, he accidentally tossed his daughter up them. She fell on a pair of boots he’d been meaning to unmagic for weeks after his trip to his best friend Cheryl’s.
The door burst open, and in a swirl of black robes Lord Voldemort was upon him. “Lily, take Harry and go! It’s him! Go! Run! I’ll hold him
When they say something throws you “head over heels,” they mean it completely disorients you. That was how it happened when my parents died when I was 16.
It was weeks into my junior year that it happened, just as the air was beginning to cool down. My birthday was in the fall, and my mind was whirling with possibilities of a party as I slid into our lunch table.

Hi, I’m Natalie. Natalie Evans. I’m seventeen years old as of December first, and I’m a superhero.
You knew that? Oh, right. That’s probably because I got to fight alongside the greatest heroes ever to grace the covers of magazines and comic books alike, the Heroes of New York. Or, as they call themselves, the Avengers.

Well, there’s a reason for all of it

Know Thine Enemy Synopsis
Catelyn Byron is a telepath. Her best friend, moody Dannielle (Danni) Auster is an avian, with large black feathered wings on her back. They met in the city of Seattle by chance.
Their mission isn't clear: wander the country and find others like them before a mysterious pair of murderers following them can take them out like they did the teens' parents. They also have to avoid making the news, keep their powers on the DL, and find a convenient means of transportation without leaving a long paper trail.
As their past catches up to their present (Danni's male friend Scott James went psycho and is now trying to hunt her down as well), the t

...In Other Words, I Have Writer's Block
The fountain pen on the lined paper sitting in front of me is still, cap over the wondrous blade. Its lifeblood does not flow, does not paint the words spinning and colliding to form ideas inside my cranium.
Because there are none.
My fingers dance over the plastic keys of the machine harnessing mankind's genius, writing the thoughts that spill over the edge of the chalice that holds my imagination, the weightless froth that holds no substance.
I look down my olive-tan arms, the scratches and scrapes of wear adding more froth to the overflow filling the page. The words grow and grow, a tidal wave of letters and punctuation and words tu
